I checked what I had recorded from the 1851 census and found Jane (b. 1845) with her parents James Rowe and Lavinia Terrill, and also Jane (b. 1845) with her grandmother Jane Rowe!  I think it is unlikely that Jane would have had two granddaughters called Jane of exactly the same age, and I think that they are one and the same person.  I have come across members of Rex [Merritt]'s family who were recorded in two places at once - it did happen!"

BIR:  COR0250, chart D, provides year.  In COR0775, Jeannette Merritt indicates that Lesley Morton's chart shows that Thomas and John were twin brothers.  CHT0133 and CHT0134 provide year and place and give this child's name as "Edward Thomas Rowe".  CHT0132 gives name as "Thomas Edward Rowe" and also gives year and place.

MAR:  CHT0133 lists seven children.  CHT0132 indicates that this couple had eight children, without providing the details.  Except where otherwise indicated, all name, date and place data relating to the descendants of this couple is from the "Outline Descendant Report for Philip Orchard" that was compiled and researched by Geoffrey Hall and included in the online "Orchard-Rowe-Kitto" posting by Ken Stewart and Ernie Orchard (last updated 12 October 2004).  The code assigned to that chart by Walter Meyer zu Erpen is CHT0133.

DTH:  COR0250, chart D, provides year (1869), but that was probably a misinterpretation given that they were twins and the other brother died as an infant.  CHT0132 and CHT0133 provide death year (1951) and place.

Eliza Tibbetts

NOT:  CHT0134 indicates that Eliza Tibbetts was the sister of Alice Tibbetts and that Alice Tibbetts became Eliza's mother-in-law.

390. Edward William Philip Rowe

DTH:  CHT0133.  COR0839 clarifies that E.W.P. Rowe died in the country town of Charlton, not the Melbourne suburb of Carlton.

396. Amy May Rowe

BIR:  CHT0133 gives her name as Amy Mary Rowe, changed to Amy May Rowe by CHT0134.

MAR:  CHT0134.

NOT:  Birth and marriage show her as "Mary"; electoral rolls and death registration show her as "May".  Electoral rolls never show her listed with husband Thomas.

DTH:  CHT0134.

Thomas Clinton

BIR:  CHT0134.

DTH:  CHT0134.

207. Alice Grace Rowe

BIR:  COR0250, chart D, provides year (1887).  CHT0132 and CHT0133 give year as 1885 and provide place.  Online death registration index gives death year as 1887.

MAR:  Except where otherwise indicated, all name, date and place data relating to the descendants of this couple is from the "Outline Descendant Report for Philip Orchard" that was compiled and researched by Geoffrey Hall and included in the online "Orchard-Rowe-Kitto" posting by Ken Stewart and Ernie Orchard (last updated 12 October 2004).  The code assigned to that chart by Walter Meyer zu Erpen is CHT0133.

DTH:  CHT0133 and CHT0134 give year as 1926; CHT0132 gives year as 1961 (presumably mistakenly the year of death of her husband Harry Lingwood).  Year 1926 confirmed through FindMyPast; death registration indicates that her father's name was "John Hanniball Rowe" and mother's maiden name was "Tibbet".  Online probate index provides date of death.

Harry Lingwood

BIR:  CHT0133.

398. Alice Rebecca Eileen Lingwood

BIR:  CHT0133 provides year and place; CHT0134 adds date of birth.

MAR:  CHT0134.

NOT:  CHT0134 indicates that Alice Lingwood was living apart from Henry Wells by 1954. She is shown as Blackman in the electoral rolls by 1958, but never with a spouse.

DTH:  CHT0134.

Henry Steven Wells

BIR:  CHT0133.

DTH:  CHT0134.
